Job summary

STEF Langdons in Bridgwater is seeking a Warehouse Operative to help receive, store and dispatch goods safely and efficiently.

Ideal candidates will have warehouse experience, a current licence for designated mechanical handling equipment, and good IT and Microsoft Office skills. You will work to targets, maintain hygiene standards and contribute to a safe, well-organised operation.

• Good IT and Microsoft Office skills.
• Knowledge of warehouse, food safety and health & safety procedures.
• Good communication, organisation and arithmetic skills.
• The ability to work to targets and deadlines, use your initiative and work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and checking incoming loads, including packaging and labelling.
• Handling and securing stock in line with food safety requirements.
• Operating designated mechanical handling equipment safely.
• Preparing loads for dispatch and loading vehicles.
• Completing quality, cleanliness and hygiene checks.
• Identifying and addressing hazards to maintain a safe working environment.

Location: Bridgwater | Permanent or Fixed Term | Salary Range: £24,880.93 to £30,077.19 + Benefits

What We Do

STEF Langdons delivers chilled and frozen food to almost any location across the UK and Ireland within 24 hours, supported by 12 depots and a fleet of over 500 vehicles.

The Role

As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll help ensure customer goods are received, handled, stored and dispatched safely, efficiently and to the required standards.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Receiving and checking incoming loads, including packaging and labelling.

• Operating designated mechanical handling equipment safely.

Available Permenant Shift Patterns

• 4 On 4 Off days
• Monday to Friday 14:00 - 22:00
• Sunday to Thursday 23:30 - 09:00

Available Fixed Term Shift Patterns

• Sunday to Thursday 02:30 - 12:00
