Job description

Job Title: Warehouse Operative

Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor

Depot: Aylesbury

Main Duties

Reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse & Distribution Manager, and Depot Manager, the Warehouse Operative will be responsible for tasks that support the daily operations of the warehouse, including maintenance, organization of bin bay locations, and ensuring correct storage of all products. The role is physically demanding, with manual handling being a key requirement.

Key Skills

• Adhering to best practices within the warehouse
• Accurately picking orders and placing items in the correct locations for delivery
• Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to supervisors or managers
• Promptly storing new stock in the correct bin-bay locations, matching delivery notes
• Assisting with weekly stock audits
• Completing documentation for out-of-date items, damaged stock, and forklift/pedestrian truck records
• Following health and safety procedures
• Wearing appropriate safety equipment, such as boots, gloves, and high-visibility vests
• Prioritizing workloads effectively
• Maintaining flexibility in work approach
