Job summary

Müller UK & Ireland is hiring a Warehouse Operative (picker) for the Amesbury Depot. You will manually pack milk into trolleys, move trolleys and load/unload vehicles in a fast-paced, chilled environment with PPE provided.

The role requires basic literacy and numeracy, good communication and initiative, and you will join a collaborative team on rotating shifts. Pay is £13.17–£19.45 per hour, with overtime at 1.5x, plus benefits including 25 days holiday, pension, life assurance, and uniform.

Responsibilities

• Operating chill trolley packers and chill shrinkwrappers.
• Loading / unloading inbound and outbound vehicles.
• Stock rotation.
• Date code checking.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Risk assessments, and basic PMS.
• Consistent quality control inspection and awareness, assuring customer expectations and product standards are maintained.
• Maintain hygiene and environmental standards - Clean as you go.
• Operate equipment and processes effectively, delivering the required output relative to the role.
• Replenish materials as required.
• Deliver and support the training of colleagues on job-related tasks.
• Effectively communicate to individuals within and outside of the department.
• Undertake any other duties; in keeping with the nature of the role as requested.

Job Description

Job Title: Warehouse Operative (picker)

Contract: Full Time - Permanent

Location: Amesbury Depot (SP4 7SZ)

Shifts: Monday to Friday (5 on 2 off) 16:00 - 00:30; 4 on 3 off 6:00 - 16:30 (including weekends)

Rate of Pay: £13.17 - £19.45 (shift dependant), 1.5x Overtime (£18.99)

The purpose of the role is to manually pack milk into trolleys, move trolleys, and empty trolleys across the chill, working in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining knowledge of products and processes involved in the day-to-day delivery of goods.

Please note this role requires you to work within a chilled environment (1 - 3 degrees); all PPE including Hi-Vis coat is provided.
