At Menzies Distribution, we have an opening for an experienced Nightshift Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team in Linwood. Menzies Distribution is a time-critical logistics business, delivering supply chain solutions across news trade, retail, eCommerce, and more.

The Details

• Location: Phoenix Retail Park, East Avenue, Linwood PA1 2FD
• 45 hours per week, five days from seven, including weekend coverage
• Shift: 22:30 - 07:30

Key Duties

You will be responsible for maximizing operational performance by directing daily, weekly, and monthly activities, providing leadership, motivation, training, and development of the workforce, and executing customer requirements. Ability to manage remote teams and interact with customers daily is essential.

Operations Manager Duties

• Manage and supervise the dispatch operation
• Support and develop the operational team
• Ensure performance exceeds customer expectations in line with KPIs
• Develop effective relationships with internal and external customers
• Ensure operational compliance, including H&S
• Assist the Regional Manager in meeting performance standards
• Conduct regular reviews, training, and development of staff
• Monitor the use of driver and vehicle resources
• Develop relationships with customers
• Analyze operational and financial data for efficiencies and improvements
• Coordinate site housekeeping and maintenance to uphold H&S standards
• Some UK travel may be required

Operations Manager Requirements

• Knowledge of Drivers Hours, Tachograph, and WTD legislation
• Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
• Ability to manage, motivate, and develop people
• Budget management skills
• Project management experience
• KPI development and measurement skills
• Effective planning and organizational skills to meet deadlines
• Proficiency with computerized systems, including TMS and WMS
• High accuracy and numeracy skills, keen eye for detail
