Job summary

Gunstones Bakery is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead our Dronfield site. You will be responsible for warehouse operations across goods in, storage, dispatch and night shift, managing 45 staff via 6 team leaders.

The role drives OTIF, stock accuracy, service and cost performance while ensuring timely material supply to production and safe, efficient dispatch operations. A hands-on, improvement-minded leader is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, logistics or distribution management.
• Background in low shelf-life, perishable FMCG or food manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to lead large teams through first-line managers.
• Track record of improving operational performance, efficiency and stock accuracy.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse systems, inventory control and distribution operations.

As we continue to develop and modernise our operations, we are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to play a critical leadership role within our Dronfield site.

The Opportunity

Reporting into the Site Leadership Team and acting as a key operational leader, this role is effectively the number two within the warehouse function and has a significant influence across warehousing, logistics, materials management, customer service, and operational performance.

You will lead a team of 45 colleagues through 6 direct-report Team Leaders, overseeing all warehouse operations across front-end and back-end warehousing, dispatch, goods-in, and night operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proven warehouse or logistics leader who has operated within a fast-moving FMCG, food manufacturing, perishables, or retail distribution environment and is looking for a role where they can make a genuine impact.

• Strong knowledge of warehouse systems, inventory control and distribution operations.
