Reconomy in Bradford, West Yorkshire, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee returns movement and maintain delivery excellence for high-profile retail clients. The role is based in our Bradford warehouse with a Monday–Friday 2pm–10pm shift and a clear development plan.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead Team Managers across warehouse and distribution, drive performance, and develop talent while maintaining high standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in leading high-volume warehouse operations.
• Strong coaching and development skills.
• Effective people management and leadership abilities.
• Proactive mindset with change and continuous improvement.
• Solid knowledge of Health & Safety in warehouse environments.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles.

Responsibilities

• Champion a safe working environment and ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies.
• Own direct operational costs and contribute to P&L performance.
• Lead and develop the Operations team across warehouse and distribution functions.
• Develop, implement, and review Standard Operating Procedures for consistency and improvement.
• Oversee and resolve warehouse-related queries within the Operations area.

About the role

Bring your logistics expertise to a fast-paced, high-volume operation where precision, performance, and leadership matter. As our Operations Manager, you’ll oversee our returns movement, ensuring seamless flow across departments and delivery excellence for our high-profile retail clients. This is a permanent position based at our warehouse in Bradford, working across our Monday - Friday 2pm-10pm shift. As our Operations Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our processes run smoothly and efficiently meeting the expectations of our high-profile customers and keeping performance on track.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you’ll receive strategic support while leading a team of Team Managers across warehouse and distribution functions. You'll be responsible for driving performance, developing talent, and maintaining high operational standards across all logistics processes.

• Championing a safe working environment, ensuring all activities align with Health & Safety policies and are treated as a top priority
• Taking daily ownership of direct operational costs, contributing to the overall P&L performance
• Leading and managing the Operations team in your department, providing clear direction, support, and development.
• Developing, implementing, and regularly reviewing Standard Operating Procedures to drive consistency, quality, and continuous improvement across all operational activities
• Overseeing and resolving warehouse-related queries within the Operations area
