Job summary

Gi Group (United Kingdom) is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead a busy operation in Bridgwater. You will oversee goods receipt, storage, inventory, and customer dispatch, while developing a high-performing team and driving safety and continuous improvement.

The role focuses on maintaining stock accuracy, coordinating resources, and collaborating with Customer Services, Planning and Quality teams to meet service targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse management within manufacturing, logistics or distribution.
• Experience leading warehouse teams in fast-paced environments.
• Strong stock control and inventory management knowledge.
• Experience working with third-party logistics and transport providers.
• Knowledge of dangerous goods regulations and associated documentation.
• Good working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Current FLT licence.
• Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Track record of driving improvements and developing high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Leading and motivating the warehouse team to deliver efficient goods-in, storage and dispatch services.
• Managing daily warehouse activities to ensure goods are received, stored and shipped accurately and on time.
• Planning and coordinating warehouse resources to meet changing operational demands.
• Managing internal, external and third-party stock locations.
• Monitoring stock accuracy and overseeing stock control processes.
• Working closely with Customer Services, Planning and Quality teams to support performance.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse operations.
• Setting and monitoring KPIs, productivity measures and service targets.
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, quality and environmental requirements.
• Supporting employee development through training, coaching and performance management.
• Providing hands-on operational support when required.
