Job summary

Greencore Tamworth is a major picking depot, operating 24/7 and employing more than 400 colleagues, with a fleet of more than 60 vehicles.

In this role you’ll lead around 250 colleagues in the Warehouse team, including 3 Warehouse Shift Managers, ensuring correct products are selected for distribution to customers.

Qualifications

• Strong numeracy and clear written and spoken English.
• Experience managing a team.
• Food Safety Level 1 Highfield certification.
• Health and Safety Level 2 Highfield certification.
• Knowledge of budgeting and cost control.
• Understanding LEAN for process improvement.
• Familiarity with voice picking methods.
• Holding a valid UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Monitor operational processes to ensure food safety compliance.
• Review rotas to align staffing with needs.
• Promote SHE culture and safety procedures.
• Ensure staff training is planned and recorded.
• Manage waste to minimise costs.
• Provide leadership and ensure policy compliance.
• Track performance trends and drive improvements.
