Job summary

Certex UK is seeking a warehouse operative to ensure smooth warehouse operations, handling goods in/out, order picking/packing, and stock preparation for branch transfers. The role also serves as back-up for the Warehouse Admin & Support Coordinator during absences or peak demand.

Responsibilities include goods-in inspections, despatch documentation, stock control, and ensuring a safe, organised working environment. Opportunities for development and training are available within a growing team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar warehouse or logistics role.
• Forklift licence experience.
• IT literate – capable of using inventory software, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Familiarity with warehouse procedures and safe manual handling practices.

Responsibilities

• Goods In: receive, unload, inspect and book in stock.
• Order processing: pick, pack and despatch items.
• Warehouse & Inventory: maintain accurate stock records and stock takes.
• Housekeeping: keep warehouse and yard clean, safe and organised.
• Production Support: assist with picking, processing and packing as required.
• Oversee despatch documentation and coordinate transport/couriers (admin cover).
• Monitor stock adjustments and branch transfer requests.
• Compile and verify certification/document packs prior to despatch.
