Job summary

Culina Group Limited is recruiting for an Operations Controller at the Chorley site. This full-time permanent role covers early and late shifts (6am-2pm/2pm-10pm) on a rotating basis, supporting day-to-day warehouse operations and ensuring schedules for inbound receipts and outbound loads run efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced logistics environment, strong PC skills, and knowledge of on-site systems including Autostore and RF kit. Salary is £27,264 per annum.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within a similar fast-paced role.
• Ability to prioritise work based on scheduling and available resources.
• PC literate in Word, Excel and Outlook with high attention to detail.
• Must be a team player who can work on your own initiative.
• Able to demonstrate knowledge of on-site systems.
• Experience and good working knowledge of Autostore and RF kit.
• Strong communication skills with a courteous and professional attitude toward customers and third party hauliers.
• Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently managing the outbound schedule to meet collection and delivery times.
• Issuing instructions to staff to maintain smooth inbound/outbound work.
• Controlling paperwork for outbound vehicles with 100% accuracy.
• Serving as the initial on-site contact for drivers.
• Promptly communicating issues to Shift Managers to minimise disruption.
• Contributing as an active member of the operations team to improve efficiency and quality.
• Maintaining good communication with transport providers to prevent late collections.
