Job summary

SC ENGINEERING in Plymouth is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead a growing operation during a relocation and expansion. You will own daily warehouse and related production activities, shaping layout, processes and standards from the outset.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a warehouse, distribution or similar operational environment.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse processes and inventory control.
• Experience leading and developing operational teams.
• Good understanding of stock accuracy, cycle counting and stocktakes.
• Experience using ERP or warehouse management systems.
• Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage service, cost, safety and quality simultaneously.
• Proactive approach with the ability to make decisions and get things done.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including goods in, put-away, storage and replenishment.
• Lead picking, packing, dispatch and returns processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain stock control, cycle counting and inventory accuracy.
• Plan workloads, labour requirements and priorities each day.
• Lead and develop warehouse staff and supervisors.
• Prepare for peaks, absence, large orders and changing demand.
• Support and lead the warehouse relocation and set-up of the new facility.
• Design efficient layouts, product flows and storage locations.
• Coordinate stock migration and set-up of new operations.
• Manage workflows across embroidery, printing, heat transfer and similar customization activities.
• Monitor productivity, service levels, stock accuracy and operating costs.
