Job summary

Escape Recruitment, partnered with a Livingston manufacturing business, is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Shift Manager to lead despatch operations and a small team on a rotating days/nights pattern at Livingston. You will ensure safe, accurate stock control and smooth daily throughput in a busy warehouse.

The ideal candidate has supervisory experience in manufacturing, strong SAP and Excel skills, and a track record of improving performance, KPIs and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy manufacturing environment.
• Stock control and inventory management experience.
• SAP knowledge, ideally at super-user level.
• Experience using warehouse management or stock-control systems.
• Confidence leading teams in a fast-paced operational setting.
• Experience coordinating transport and third-party logistics providers.

• Willingness to work rotating three-shift pattern.

Responsibilities

Location: Livingston, West Lothian
Hours: Monday to Friday Rotating Days, Backs & Nights

Escape Recruitment is working with an established manufacturing business in Livingston to recruit an experienced Warehouse Shift Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on warehouse leader who enjoys managing people, maintaining operational standards and ensuring a busy despatch operation runs efficiently.

The Role

You'll take responsibility for the day-to-day management of warehouse and despatch activities, leading a small operational team and ensuring finished goods are managed safely, accurately and efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising and coordinating daily warehouse and despatch operations.
• Leading, motivating and developing a team of warehouse operatives.
• Ensuring accurate stock control, inventory reconciliation and system records.
• Coordinating transport, deliveries and third-party logistics providers.
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety.
• Monitoring warehouse performance, productivity and KPIs.
• Supporting continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
• Managing warehouse space, equipment and operational processes.
• Producing operational reports and communicating shift priorities.

What We're Looking For

• Previous warehouse supervisory or management experience within a busy manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience of despatch, stock control and inventory management.
• Excellent SAP knowledge, ideally at super-user level.
• Experience using warehouse management or stock-control systems.
• Confidence leading teams in a fast-paced operational setting.
• Experience coordinating transport and third-party logistics providers.

• Competent Microsoft Excel and general IT skills.
