Job summary

Lidl GB is recruiting a Warehouse Maintenance Operative to keep our distribution centre equipment and stores in top condition. You’ll maintain machinery, fixtures and fittings, and adapt to shifts to handle daily challenges with a flexible approach.

We offer a 40-hour contract with a salary of £28,500 - £31,500 per annum, 30-35 days holiday pro rata, 10% in-store discount and enhanced family leave, alongside pension and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical handling equipment.
• Ability to use hand tools and lifting gear.
• Motivation, positivity and initiative.
• Attention to detail in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Continually manage, repair and service our fleet and update service schedules and records.
• Sort out issues and fix breakdowns across the warehouse team.
• Problem solve and fault-find on Mechanical Handling Equipment.
• Collaborate with external contractors to complete complex maintenance tasks.
• Follow and encourage good working practices whilst being the health and safety guru.

What you’ll do

• Continually manage, repair and service our fleet and update service schedules and records
• Sort out issues and fixing breakdowns, supporting all departments within our warehouse team
• Problem solve and fault find on a range of Mechanical Handling Equipment
• Collaborate and work alongside external contractors to complete complex maintenance tasks
• Follow and encourage good working practices whilst being the health and safety guru
  

What you’ll need

• Confidence working with mechanical equipment (PPT’s, LLOP’s and FLT’s)
• Ability to work with hand tools and specialist lifting equipment
• Motivation, positivity and initiative
• A flair for multi-tasking to prioritise conflicting deadlines
• An eye for detail in a busy working environment
