Keep our warehouse moving – and our orders reaching customers across the UK and beyond
At White Rose Education, our resources are used by schools and educators across the UK and internationally. Behind every order that reaches a customer is a warehouse operation that needs to run accurately, efficiently and on time.
We’re looking for a Warehouse Administrator to play a key role in making that happen.
This is a varied, hands‑on position combining warehouse administration, stock control, logistics and international shipping with practical support on the warehouse floor. One moment you could be preparing documentation for an international shipment; the next, resolving an order query, checking stock records or helping the team get orders picked, packed and out of the door.
If you’re organised, comfortable juggling different priorities and like being part of a busy operation where accuracy really matters, this could be a great opportunity for you.
You’ll help keep the day-to-day warehouse operation running smoothly, with responsibilities including:
We’re looking for someone who combines strong administration skills with a practical, hands‑on approach.
You’ll need to be comfortable working between an office‑style administration environment and the warehouse floor. You’ll have excellent attention to detail, strong IT skills and the confidence to communicate with colleagues, couriers and other partners to keep things moving.
You’ll ideally have experience working within a warehouse, logistics or operations environment, and you’ll be someone who takes ownership rather than waiting for someone else to spot a problem.
Experience with international shipping, customs documentation or courier platforms such as DHL, FedEx, UPS or Royal Mail International would be a real advantage – but if you have the right operational experience and are keen to develop your knowledge quickly, we’d still like to hear from you.
Most importantly, you’ll be a team player who is organised, reliable and accurate, and willing to get stuck in wherever the warehouse needs support.
You’ll be joining an organisation with a clear purpose: helping teachers teach, learners learn and schools achieve more.
Although you may not be standing in a classroom, the work you do matters. Every accurate stock record, correctly prepared international shipment and order dispatched on time helps our resources reach the teachers and children who use them.
All applications will be considered in line with our recruitment practices. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an assessment day.
To provide administrative support for warehouse operations - this will include stock control, facilitating the process of International shipments from organising the shipment to receiving the POD, being the point of contact for Customer Care and Schools Partnerships and completing any required documentation - while also supporting day-to-day warehouse activities such as picking and packing.
The role will work closely with the Customer Care and Schools Partnerships teams to ensure smooth resolution of order queries and an excellent customer experience.
Consistently demonstrate high standards of personal and professional conduct and maintain high standards of ethics and behaviour.
Continue personal professional development as required.
Attend staff and other meetings and participate in staff training and development events as required.
Actively engage in the performance review process.
Work flexibly across other areas of the business on different tasks when the business requires.
All staff must have an awareness and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students. It is expected that all staff will share this commitment.
All staff must abide by company policies and procedures, copies of which are available on our HR system.
Whilst every effort has been made to explain the main duties and responsibilities of the post, each individual task may not be identified. Employees will be expected to comply with any reasonable request to undertake work of a similar level that is not specified within this job description.
This job description is current at the date shown. It will be reviewed at least annually, and in consultation with you, it may be changed to reflect or anticipate changes in the role or business need.
