Job summary

K H Recruitment Limited is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Loader for a leading manufacturing business near Maidstone. You will move, store and despatch finished products, locate stock, use IT systems and ensure trailers are loaded correctly and efficiently.

Shifts are 12 hours, on a rotating pattern (6am-6pm / 6pm-6am). An enhanced pension, holiday allowance and on-site facilities are provided. IT literacy and safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, logistics or manufacturing.
• Good IT skills and experience with stock control systems.
• FLT qualification desirable but not essential.
• Good attention to detail and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Use IT systems to track products entering and leaving the warehouse.
• Store, locate, repack and record finished products.
• Move stock to optimise space and rotate inventory.
• Load trailers in correct order and quality standards.
• Unload incoming products and document locations.
• Carry out stock checks and update systems.

Role: Warehouse Loader
Location: Outskirts of Maidstone
Salary: Highly competitive + company benefits
Hours: 12-hour Rotating Shift Pattern: 6am-6pm / 6pm-6am (rota 1 year in advance)

My client, a leading manufacturing business, is looking for a hands-on and safety-conscious Warehouse Loader to join their shift team. The role involves the accurate movement, storage and despatch of finished products, including locating finished reels within the warehouse, managing stock, using IT systems, preparing products for customer despatch, and ensuring vehicles are loaded correctly and efficiently.

Duties include:

• Using the company’s business systems to accurately control and track products entering and leaving the warehouse.
• Safely storing, locating, repacking and recording finished products within the warehouse.
• Managing warehouse space effectively, including stock rotation and the movement of products where required.
• Carrying out quality checks and addressing any issues arising from production or logistics requirements.
• Loading trailers with the correct products, in the correct sequence and to the required quality standards.
• Unloading incoming products and ensuring they are correctly located and documented.
• Monitoring the condition of plant, equipment and processes, identifying potential issues at an early stage.
• Inspecting material handling equipment and reporting any defects to engineering and management teams.
• Taking appropriate corrective action where possible and working with relevant teams to minimise disruption to operations.
• Completing accurate stock checks and updating the relevant systems when required.
• Following all company health, safety, environmental and operating procedures.

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience working within a warehouse, logistics or manufacturing environment.
• Good IT skills, with previous experience using warehouse or stock control systems.
• Previous experience working with an IMS (Integrated Management System) would be advantageous but is not essential.
• A valid external or in-house Counterbalance FLT qualification would be desirable but is not essential.
• Good manual handling skills and a willingness to get your hands dirty.
• A strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
• Good attention to detail, particularly when handling stock, documentation and customer despatches.
• A reliable and flexible approach, with the ability to work effectively as part of a shift team.
