Job description

Warehouse Inventory Operative – Harwell, Oxfordshire – FM Service Provider – up to £30,000 per annum

Exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to work for an established company in Harwell. CBW are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative based in a commercial building. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in packing within a commercial environment.

Details / Hours:

• Flexible shift pattern
• Up to 40 hours a week
• Permanent
• Immediate start

Key duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage stock using the client’s system to order and distribute lab stock to relevant work areas
• Update stock database and perform physical stock checks against virtual stock counts
• Pick and issue maintenance parts and lab consumables, managing stock rotation to meet expiry dates
• Quarantine goods, process delivery notes, and ensure compliance and quality certification are uploaded into the database
• Manage returns and update the inventory database accordingly
• Assess condition of unused stock or serviceable parts for restocking or disposal
• Reorder parts and consumables as stock levels decrease and anticipate future requirements
• Coordinate collection of serviceable parts for recertification or refurbishment
• Ensure availability of spares for maintenance and reactive works
• Provide parts lists and estimated timescales for remedial works
• Manage waste materials, ensuring proper segregation and storage
• Maintain a safe and healthy working environment, including wearing uniform and PPE
• Undertake mandatory and skill-related training as required
• Develop and maintain good relationships with staff, subcontractors, and client representatives
• Present a professional image to clients
• Keep plant rooms clean and tidy
• Ensure compliance with contractual KPIs/SLAs
• Work out of hours if required and participate in on-call duties
• Regularly audit tools and test equipment to ensure safety and compliance
