We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Warehouse/Forklift Person to join a dynamic team. If you have a passion for warehouse work and experience in forklift driving, and are driven by efficiency and accuracy in warehouse operations, this opportunity is perfect for you.

Due to significant business growth, we are looking for a Warehouse Operative to join a production and manufacturing organization based in the Waterlooville area.

As a Warehouse Person, you will be responsible for tasks such as receiving, storing, and dispatching goods, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring the warehouse remains organized and safe. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols. A full driving license is required, as you will be using company vans for pickups and deliveries. A forklift license is required or if expired, it is acceptable.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 09:30 am to 5:30 pm, with breaks. Paid weekly, including overtime. A driving license is necessary for local deliveries to companies and suppliers.

The starting salary is £12.70 per hour, increasing to £13.67 after a qualifying period, with a potential to go permanent.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving and Inspecting Goods: Unload shipments, verify orders, inspect for damage, process paperwork, update records.
• Picking and Packing: Select items, pack securely, label, and prepare for dispatch.
• Driving: Use company van for deliveries and pickups.
• Inventory Control: Conduct inventory counts, manage stock levels, monitor discrepancies.
• Shipping and Dispatch: Prepare orders, coordinate with carriers, complete documentation.
• Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the warehouse clean and organized, ensure proper storage and labeling, follow FIFO practices.
• Operating Equipment: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and perform routine checks.
• Health and Safety: Follow safety protocols, report hazards, use PPE.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with staff, assist in training, communicate effectively.
