Job description

The Role

We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced individuals with a positive attitude to work within a fast-paced warehousing environment.

With various opportunities across our sites, duties will focus on our busy Logistics departments. As part of a team, warehouse operators and forklift drivers will assist with the safe transfer of produce to and from production and storage areas, as well as picking & packing orders and loading/unloading delivery vehicles using PPE and forklift trucks where necessary. You should be confident working in a busy, temperature-controlled warehouse environment and maneuvering goods safely both inside and outside. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be committed to providing first-class service and ensuring all warehousing tasks are completed safely, promptly, and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
• Ensuring the safe transfer and location of finished products for dispatch from production
• Ensuring the safe transfer and location of raw materials
• Receiving training for all warehousing duties across Leythorne and Sefter sites
• Adhering to all trained SOPs
• Focusing on customer satisfaction with zero errors
• Practicing 'clean as you go' principles during duties
• Maintaining high health and safety standards in all areas
• Reporting hazards and accidents promptly to the manager
• Engaging in continuous improvement initiatives

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in a fresh produce or FMCG warehousing environment (preferred)
• Forklift / Counterbalance license and experience with MHE (training provided if needed)
• Effective communication skills in basic verbal English
• Confident, proactive, and capable of working to deadlines
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong team player
