Job summary

The Pallet Network in Crawley is seeking an experienced FLT/Forklift Driver to join our fast-paced warehouse team. You will load, unload and move palletised goods, maintain safety standards, and work closely with the Team Leader to meet nightly targets.

This full-time role offers a 4:00–13:00 or 11:00–20:00 shift pattern, with optional weekend overtime and a salary of £26,439 per annum, plus benefits including pension, on-site parking, and a staff cafeteria.

Qualifications

• Valid FLT licence (RTITB or equivalent)
• Counterbalance forklift experience in a warehouse environment
• Ability to work safely and accurately in a fast-paced operation
• Good literacy and numeracy to support scanning and paperwork

Responsibilities

• Operate LPG counterbalance forklift to load/unload palletised freight
• Record freight movements using forklift-mounted scanning tech
• Maintain accurate placement of goods and follow labelling procedures
• Report to Team Leader and meet nightly performance targets
• Follow site health and safety protocols and raise hazards
• Perform daily pre-use checks and report faults

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced FLT / Forklift Driver to join our busy team in Crawley. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established operation where you will play a key role in keeping freight moving safely and efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will be responsible for loading, unloading and moving palletised goods while maintaining excellent safety and accuracy standards. If you are reliable, hard-working and experienced on a counterbalance truck, we would love to hear from you.

This is a full-time, permanent position with the below shift patterns available:

• Monday to Friday, 4:00am to 13:00pm
• Monday to Friday, 11:00am to 20:00pm

Optional Weekend overtime is available

Salary: £26,439 per annum

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operate LPG counterbalance forklift trucks to safely load and unload palletised freight in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.
• Use forklift-mounted scanning technology to accurately record freight movements and ensure traceability across the network.
• Maintain precise handling and placement of goods, following scanning and labelling procedures to support efficient hub operations.
• Report directly to the Team Leader, working collaboratively with colleagues to meet nightly performance targets.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety, adhering to all site protocols and proactively identifying and reporting risks or unsafe practices.
• Conduct daily pre-use checks on equipment and promptly elevate any faults or maintenance needs.
• Contribute to a positive team culture, showing respect, reliability, and a proactive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
• Keep work areas clean, organised, and compliant with company standards to support operational efficiency and safety.
• Support cross-functional tasks when required, such as assisting with freight checks, bay organisation, or liaising with admin teams to ensure smooth operational flow.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

• A valid FLT / Forklift licence (RTITB or equivalent).
• Previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift truck within a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment.
• Experience working in a fast-paced operation, with the ability to handle goods safely and accurately.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills to support scanning, paperwork and freight handling tasks.
• Confidence working both independently and as part of a team to meet operational targets.
