Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking a reliable Dispatcher to join our warehouse team on a temporary agency assignment in Leyland. You will ensure orders leave the warehouse accurately, on time and with the correct documentation. Responsibilities include carrier coordination, paperwork preparation and system updates.

You will need to be well-organised, comfortable using computers and able to work to deadlines, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple orders and carrier collections.

Qualifications

• Confident using computers and able to learn new systems and carrier portals quickly.
• Strong numeracy skills and confidence checking product codes, quantities and order references.
• Excellent attention to detail and a consistently high level of accuracy.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Able to work to fixed carrier collection deadlines.
• Physically able to handle goods safely in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Review the daily dispatch schedule and prioritise orders according to deadlines.
• Check picked and packed orders against sales orders, including codes and quantities.
• Book parcel and pallet consignments using carrier portals.
• Print and apply shipping labels and prepare dispatch paperwork.
• Move completed orders to the collection area and handover to carriers.
• Update ClickUp and other systems as orders progress.
• Record carrier references and consignment numbers.
• Identify and report issues before orders leave the site.
