Job Responsibilities:
- Interact with customers by phone, email, or in person and receive orders or changes in service.
- Address complaints concerning billing or service, referring issues to appropriate departments.
- Process and input customer orders and receipts; check stock for product availability.
- Generate paperwork and information for customer work orders, check orders for special requests, and post inventory records.
- Coordinate last-minute shipping requests with transportation, expedite orders as needed.
- Trace orders and notify customers of shipping and tracing updates.
- Verify invoices to ensure proper invoicing of accounts.
- Respond to customer inquiries and complaints courteously and efficiently.
- Report customer feedback and signs of dissatisfaction to management.
- Serve as liaison between warehouse and customer regarding accounts, invoicing, and credit changes.
- Maintain customer files and perform clerical tasks like answering phones, operating office machines, and greeting visitors.
- Keep procedure documentation current and prepare reports on customer service activities.
- Notify management of customer requests related to shipping, handling, or administrative issues.
- Coordinate product routing for customers and report food safety issues if applicable.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 6 months of related experience and/or training.
- Experience with AS400 systems and warehouse management systems preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and manuals.
- Effective communication skills for groups of managers, customers, and co-workers.
- Problem-solving skills with practical and variable situations.
- Ability to interpret various instructions in different formats.
