Job Responsibilities:
  • Interact with customers by phone, email, or in person and receive orders or changes in service.
  • Address complaints concerning billing or service, referring issues to appropriate departments.
  • Process and input customer orders and receipts; check stock for product availability.
  • Generate paperwork and information for customer work orders, check orders for special requests, and post inventory records.
  • Coordinate last-minute shipping requests with transportation, expedite orders as needed.
  • Trace orders and notify customers of shipping and tracing updates.
  • Verify invoices to ensure proper invoicing of accounts.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints courteously and efficiently.
  • Report customer feedback and signs of dissatisfaction to management.
  • Serve as liaison between warehouse and customer regarding accounts, invoicing, and credit changes.
  • Maintain customer files and perform clerical tasks like answering phones, operating office machines, and greeting visitors.
  • Keep procedure documentation current and prepare reports on customer service activities.
  • Notify management of customer requests related to shipping, handling, or administrative issues.
  • Coordinate product routing for customers and report food safety issues if applicable.
Minimum Requirements:
  • At least 6 months of related experience and/or training.
  • Experience with AS400 systems and warehouse management systems preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and manuals.
  • Effective communication skills for groups of managers, customers, and co-workers.
  • Problem-solving skills with practical and variable situations.
  • Ability to interpret various instructions in different formats.
