Job summary

The Compleat Food Group is seeking a proactive Warehouse Co-Ordinator for our Bristol distribution operations. You will lead a team of 5–15 operatives, oversee inbound and outbound logistics, and ensure safe handling of goods in ambient and temperature-controlled environments.

This hands-on leadership role requires strong communication, the ability to manage shift patterns, and a focus on accuracy, traceability, and safety across all processes.

Qualifications

  • FLT Licence is essential.
  • Experience in a warehouse setting, preferably FMCG.
  • Good communication skills and fluent English.

  • Provide day-to-day leadership to a team of 5–15 warehouse operatives.
  • Delegate tasks to maximise productivity and labour utilisation.
  • Oversee inbound deliveries and outbound dispatch with accuracy and traceability.
  • Ensure safe loading/unloading of vehicles using MHE in line with HS, GMP and factory procedures.
  • Deputise for the Warehouse Supervisor during absence, managing holidays and sickness.

We’re looking for a proactive WarehouseCo-Ordinator to support our fast-paced chilled food manufacturing operation. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll support the Warehouse Supervisor, deputise in their absence, and play a key role in ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient warehouse operations across ambient and temperature-controlled environments.

Shift Pattern: 18:00 – 06:00 4on 4off D shift

Location: Unit 4, Bristol Distribution Park, Hawkley Drive, Woodlands Road, Bradley Stoke, Bristol BS320BF

About the role:As Warehouse Co-Ordinator, you will:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and support to a team of 5–15 warehouse operatives
  • Delegate tasks effectively to maximise productivity and labour utilisation
  • Oversee inbound deliveries and outbound dispatch to ensure accuracy, quality, and traceability
  • Ensure safe loading and unloading of vehicles using MHE in line with all H&S, Technical, and Factory procedures
  • Deputise for the Warehouse Supervisor when required, including managing holidays, sickness, absences, and return-to-work processes

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete pre-start checks on all departmental equipment, including recycling and waste equipment
  • Ensure MHE is operated safely and correctly, reporting defects and VOR equipment promptly
  • Maintain full compliance with Health & Safety, GMP, and Food Safety standards
  • Lead, motivate, and support the warehouse team to achieve maximum output
  • Monitor performance and ensure the most effective placement of operatives
  • Provide on-the-job training, guidance, and support to new starters
  • Maintain FIFO, traceability, and stock rotation at all times
  • Keep accurate records and ensure audit readiness (internal & external)

What We’re Looking For:

  • FLT Licence
  • Experience working in a warehouse environment (FMCG desirable)
  • Food Safety Level 2
  • Health & Safety Level 2
  • Strong communication skills and a good level of English
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
  • Experience in chilled or food manufacturing environments
  • Previous experience leading or supporting warehouse teams
