Job summary

DHL is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator in Scunthorpe to coordinate daily warehouse and distribution requirements while maintaining high health and safety standards. You will lead a shift, ensure targets are understood by the team, and support efficient operations across goods in and goods out processes.

The role requires experience in supply chain/logistics and strong communication skills. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract with full-time hours and onsite work at Scunthorpe.

Qualifications

• Experience in supply chain/logistics operations.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Management experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support the running of a safe, efficient operation in the warehouse.
• Communicate productivity and target hours to the team so expectations are clear.
• Manage a department within the warehouse (e.g., goods in, goods out, high value items).
• Provide information and support for the smooth operation of daily activities.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

• Coordinate and provide support in the running of a safe and efficient operation, working within clear guidelines to help achieve the operational standards and defined outcomes
• Communicate productivity and direct hours targets to your team ensuring they have a clear understanding of what is expected from them
• Managing a department in the warehouse e.g. high value, goods in, goods out
• Coordinate and provide support/information in the running of a safe and efficient operation
