Job summary

Northern Powergrid in Billingham is seeking a Stores Controller to lead a warehouse team and support a major Oracle Cloud transition. You will manage day-to-day stock control, goods handling and deliveries while driving process improvements and data validation.

The role combines hands-on warehouse leadership with involvement in system testing and readiness activities, ensuring safe, compliant operations and ongoing development of staff.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence.
• Level 3 leadership qualification and IOSH or health and safety qualification.
• Experience in warehouse operations, stock management and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop warehouse and logistics colleagues.
• Ensure safe warehouse, vehicle and materials handling activities.
• Maintain stock records and investigate discrepancies.
• Coordinate goods-in, storage, picking, loading and delivery activities.
• Support stock checks and liaise with suppliers and contractors.
