Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Stores Controller for an on-site role in Bolton. You will manage stores/inventory, load work packages, and ensure timely preparation for manufacturing programmes. This 12-month contract offers attention to detail, flexibility, and a proactive approach in a busy environment.

Your duties include stock control, loading jobs, packing, updating records, and supporting loading/unloading of materials. Shift flexibility and initiative are essential.

• Updating computer records.
• Kitting activity.
• Loading and unloading of lorries.

Stores Controller
Location: Bolton (on-site)
Duration: 12 months
Rate: £25.38 rising to £26.70 per hour after week 12 (Umbrella)
IR35: Inside
Clearance: BPSS only

Overview

The Manufacturing Controller role will involve issue, receipt and management of stores and inventory in a stores environment, plus loading, control and monitoring of work packages in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Stock control / storekeeping including shelf life control.
• Loading the manufacturing cells with the requisite jobs in accordance with planned lead and cycle times, in order to comply with manufacturing programmes and delivery schedules.
• Packing including the use of hand tools. Receiving and issuing of tooling.
• Updating computer records.
• Kitting activity.
• Loading and unloading of lorries.

Skillset/experience required:

• Experience in a stores environment or manufacturing control.

Desirable:

• PC skills, including Excel.
