Job summary

Bayley & Sage is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join the Logistics Hub in London. You will participate in daily operations, receiving and unloading deliveries, checking them in, and putting them away quickly and efficiently.

You will rotate stock using FIFO, ensure items are labelled correctly, and pick/pack deliveries for despatch while maintaining high service levels for suppliers and staff. This role requires physical work, a strong work ethic, accuracy in a fast-paced environment, and a

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload deliveries quickly and safely.
• Check in deliveries and put away stock efficiently.
• Rotate stock using FIFO and report wastage to the Supply Chain Manager.
• Organise warehouse for easy picking and correct labelling.
• Pick and pack deliveries with accurate labelling.
• Provide outstanding customer service to suppliers and staff.
• Maintain a clean, safe warehouse and follow Health & Safety guidelines.

Location: SW19 8ED, Gresham Way, London

About the role

As a member of the Logistics Hub, you will participate in daily operations, carrying all the tasks as delegated by the Supply Chain Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for receiving and unloading deliveries quickly and safely
• Responsible for ensuring deliveries are checked in according to company policy, and putting them away quickly and efficiently
• Responsible for rotating stock according to FIFO, checking the quality of fresh food and reporting items for wastage to Supply Chain Manager
• Responsible for organising the warehouse according to the established system so that items are easy to find for picking and despatch to include correct labelling
• Responsible for picking and packing deliveries for despatch according to instructions given by Supply Chain Manager ensuring items are labelled accurately
• Responsible for delivering outstanding customer service to all suppliers and staff of Bayley & Sage.
• Responsible for keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and free of hazards
• Responsible for following all Health and Safety guidelines as directed by Supply Chain Manager

• You will be a hard worker, willing to roll your sleeves up and get on with the job at hand. You are looking for a long-term position and have a positive, 'can-do' attitude.
• You will be physically capable as heavy lifting is involved in the day-to-day role.
• You will be available to work across 7 days as our business is open 7 days a week.

• Ultimately, you are passionate about delivering great service on time and with a smile.
• Desirable: Valid UK driving licence
