Job summary

Longacres Garden Centre in Shepperton is seeking a part-time Warehouse Assistant to join the warehouse team. You will handle deliveries, stock storage, order picking, and help maintain efficient daily operations.

The role is 7.5 hours per week with flexibility to support busy periods and seasonal peaks. You will work alongside colleagues to ensure deliveries are processed accurately, spaces optimised, and goods replenished while contributing to a friendly, customer-focused garden centre

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience is required.
• Forklift license is desirable.
• Enthusiastic, approachable and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and processing deliveries and reporting discrepancies.
• Stowing and storing deliveries and optimising storage space.
• Picking orders for deliveries and store transfers.
• Performing warehouse inventory controls as required.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
• Communicating with and supporting all Trading departments.
• Safely operate and maintain all warehouse vehicles and equipment.
• Stock replenishment of Compost, Salt and Fuels.
• Assisting in other areas of the Garden Centre as required.

We are currently seeking a part-time Warehouse Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with your colleagues to ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently and on time, contributing to the smooth operation of the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Receiving and processing all deliveries and report any discrepancies.


• Stowing and storing all deliveries safely and optimising the available storage space.


• Picking orders for deliveries and store transfers.


• Performing Warehouse Inventory controls where required.


• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.


• Communicate with and support all Trading depts.
