Job summary

IKEA Lakeside in Thurrock is looking for Warehouse Assistants to join our Fulfillment team. You will be picking, packing, and prepping orders, as well as replenishing stock to keep our customers smiling in a fast-paced environment.

This part-time role offers an hourly rate of £14.15 per hour, with 12-16 hour contracts and 3-4 days per week, including some weekend work. Shifts include day and evening hours, and interview discussions can explore flexible arrangements.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Ability to prioritise and organise your workload swiftly and with attention to detail.
• Ensure you are prepared to initiate tasks on your own initiative and to participate productively in group efforts.
• Compliance with health and safety guidelines necessitates that applicants are 18 years of age or older.
• You are computer literate and able to work with technology.

Responsibilities

• Manual handling of heavy stock.
• Working with or around heavy machinery, such as Forklift trucks, counterbalance, pump trucks, to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse.
• Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for both our customers and co-workers.
• Using systems to pick and prepare customer orders in a timely manner.
• Prioritizing the customer experience, focusing on enhancing sales and ensuring stock availability while maintaining an organised, tidy shopping environment.

As a Warehouse Assistant in IKEA's Fulfilment team, you'll be right in the heart of the action - picking, packing, and prepping orders as well as replenishing stock to keep our customers smiling. WHAT WE OFFER

• Start Date of employment will be: October 31st 2026
• Competitive hourly rate of £14.15 per hour.
