Job summary

IKEA Greenwich is seeking Warehouse Assistants to join our Fulfillment team as Fulfillment Operations Co-workers. You’ll be picking, packing, replenishing stock, and assisting customers in our self-serve area in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

You’ll thrive with teamwork, energy, and strong organisation while moving with purpose to keep shopping easy. We offer a competitive hourly rate, 20 or 30 hour contracts, and a schedule across 6:00 AM–10:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Enthusiasm to thrive in an active warehouse role.
• Ability to prioritise and organise workload quickly with attention to detail.
• Willingness to work across shifts and weekends as required.
• Must be 18 years or older and computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Manual handling of heavy stock.
• Operate and work around heavy machinery (forklifts) safely.
• Follow safety protocols for a secure environment for customers and colleagues.
• Use systems to pick and prepare customer orders promptly.
• Prioritise the customer experience and maintain an orderly, stocked shop floor.

IKEA Greenwich is looking to welcome Warehouse Assistants to join our hard-working fulfilment team. In IKEA we call this a Fulfillment Operations Co-worker

As a Warehouse Assistant in IKEA’s Fulfilment team, you’ll be right in the heart of the action, picking, packing, and prepping orders, replenishing stock, and supporting customers in our self-serve warehouse area to keep shopping easy and enjoyable. It’s a fast-paced, hands-on role where teamwork, energy, and a knack for staying organised turn a busy day into a satisfying one. WHAT WE OFFER

• Start Date of employment will be: 1st December 2026
• Competitive hourly rate of £14.80 per hour.
• 20 and 30 hour contracts, all working 5 days per week with every fourth weekend off.
• Shift patterns will vary and will be scheduled between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM. All shifts are 4 or 6 hours in length, and candidates should be flexible to work a mixture of early, daytime and evening shifts.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

• Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential, all you will need is the enthusiasm to thrive in an active workplace.
• Ability to prioritise and organise your workload swiftly and with attention to detail.
• Ensure you are prepared to initiate tasks on your own initiative and to participate productively in group efforts.
• Compliance with health and safety guidelines necessitates that applicants are 18 years of age or older.
• You are computer literate and able to work with technology.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

• Manual handling of heavy stock.
• Working with or around heavy machinery, such as, Forklift trucks, counterbalance, pump trucks, to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse.
• Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for both our customers and co-workers.
• Using systems to pick and prepare customer orders in a timely manner.
• Prioritizing the customer experience, focusing on enhancing sales and ensuring stock availability while maintaining an organised, tidy shopping environment.
