Job summary

Frederick Hyde Ltd in Haslemere, Surrey, is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join the busy team. You will receive stock, pick and pack orders, liaise with couriers and keep the warehouse tidy.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload and safely move incoming stock, including containers and deliveries
• Pick, check and pack orders accurately and prepare them for despatch
• Load outgoing goods and liaise with couriers, hauliers and delivery drivers as required
• Put stock away correctly and maintain an organised, clean and tidy warehouse
• Carry out stock checks, maintain accurate records and report any discrepancies or damaged goods
• Follow company procedures for manual handling, health & safety and the safe use of warehouse equipment
• Support the wider warehouse operation and assist with other duties as required
• Carry out general warehouse duties as directed by the Warehouse Manager/Supervisor

We have a large showroom, trade and retail e-commerce websites, a gig bag company, an instrument import and distribution company and a percussion manufacturing business.

We have an exciting opening for a Warehouse Assistant to join our team, the dynamic ‘engine room’ of our business. We're looking for a reliable, hardworking and practical person who takes pride in doing a job properly. You will need to be organised, have good attention to detail and be comfortable working in a busy, hands-on warehouse environment.

The role involves a wide variety of tasks, so we're looking for someone with a flexible, can-do attitude who is happy to get involved wherever needed. This is a great opportunity to take on a varied role within a hardworking and friendly team, and to be a valued member of our company.
