Bettys & Taylors of Harrogate is seeking a Warehouse Assistant for our Finished Goods Team in Knaresborough. You will operate MHE to load/unload, pick, pack and ship customer orders while adhering to Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies.

The role is Monday to Friday on a two-week rotating shift (6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm) with a Friday 8pm finish in week 2, starting as a Trainee and progressing to Qualified after six months.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations is desirable.
• Willing to undergo training to move from trainee to qualified.
• Ability to follow food safety and health & safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload shunt vehicles using MHE.
• Pick, pack and load customer orders.

Job description

We are looking for a Warehouse Assistant to join us in the Finished Goods Team at Taylors of Harrogate, where we hold and supply our range of tea and coffees, including our famous Yorkshire Tea.

As a Warehouse Assistant you will be responsible for using Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) to load and unload shunt vehicles, picking, packing and loading customer orders to help distribute the quality products that our customers know and love, whilst always ensuring adherence to Food Hygiene and Health and Safety policies and procedures. The Warehouse Assistant is primarily responsible for fulfilling customer demand.

This role works Monday to Friday on a two week rotating shift pattern, 6am-2pm (week 1) 2pm-10pm, with an 8pm finish on a Friday (week 2).

The role is based at our warehouse in St James Business Park, Knaresborough.

When you join us you will start as a Trainee and will move to Qualified after successful completion of your training which we expect to be within a period of 6 months. This is reflected in the salary range advertised.
