Job summary

QS Recruitment requires an Assembly Operative to join the team on a temporary-to-permanent basis in Hinckley. You will assemble metal components to create storage cabinets, use hand tools, and perform quality checks before dispatch.

The role is based on a 07:00–16:00 schedule Monday to Thursday with early finish on Fridays, 13:30. Salary is £13.00 per hour, with holiday accrual up to 28 days per year pro rata. Immediate start for suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• At least two years’ assembly operative experience.
• Experience using hand tools.
• Happy with some lifting/shifting of moderately heavy items.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Hard-working and positive attitude.
• Preferably have your own transport due to location and start times.

Responsibilities

• Assemble metal components to build storage cabinets and drawers.
• Use handheld tools safely and effectively during the assembly process.
• Carry out quality checks to ensure all products meet required standards before dispatch.
• Handle and move materials within the warehouse.
• Support general warehouse operations as needed.
