Job summary

Precision People in Leicester is seeking an Assembly Operative to join our engineering team. The role involves reading engineering drawings, identifying parts, and assembling components using hand-held and power tools.

You will work with aluminium, stainless steel, and mild steel on a day shift (07:30–16:00), Monday to Friday. This temporary-to-perm position offers an immediate start and a long-term opportunity with a busy, established business.

Qualifications

• Read and understand engineering drawings.
• Experience in assembly in an engineering environment.
• Experience with large/heavy sheet metal.
• Good attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Identify and pick the correct parts.
• Assemble parts according to drawings.
