Job summary

Hayley Group in Halesowen is offering a Warehouse Apprentice position. You will support warehouse operations, including picking, packing and dispatching goods, while learning stock processes and shelving items accurately.

You'll join a hands-on team that values initiative and reliability. No prior experience required, just the right attitude and commitment to learning through the Hayley Academy, with 23 days leave and uniform provided.

Responsibilities

• As Warehouse Apprentice, assist with warehouse operations including picking, packing and dispatching goods.
• Assist with stock processing: receipting goods and shelving in correct locations.
• Maintain warehouse housekeeping and liaise with colleagues across the branch network.

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Halesowen, West Midlands

Hours: 9am - 6pm Monday - Friday, 1 in 8 Saturdays, 8.30-12.30 - 41 hours (depending on age)

About the Warehouse Assistant role:

As our Warehouse Apprentice, you will mainly be assisting with operations in our warehouse, picking, packing and dispatching goods. You will also be required to assist with processing of stock, including receipting goods, shelving items in the correct locations, stock checks and general warehouse housekeeping. A key member of the team, you will be required to liaise with other colleagues and departments across the branch network.

The environment and culture are one where everyone mucks in and works across a variety of tasks. That could mean one moment you'd be picking goods and the next hopping in the van to assist with a delivery. There's no task this team doesn't do and so if you are someone that is looking for a role that is varied and you like getting stuck in then this could be the perfect fit!

What we're looking for in our Warehouse Assistant:

• A genuine interest in Warehousing and building a career

• Enthusiastic, motivated and willing to learn

• Good communication skills (verbal and written)

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

• Basic IT skills (including Microsoft Office)

• Strong attention to detail and logical thinking

• Well-presented and professional approach

• Able to travel to and work locally

No prior experience is required-just the right attitude and commitment to learning.
