Job summary

University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a registered nurse to deliver compassionate patient care, communicate effectively with patients, carers and the multidisciplinary team, and promote a positive image of the Trust at all times.

You will develop care plans, assess and evaluate care from admission to transfer or discharge, supervise a ward team, administer medicines and participate in audits and teaching.

Qualifications

• Provide compassionate patient care and support to patients, visitors and colleagues.
• Demonstrate politeness, courtesy and sensitivity; maintain patient confidentiality.
• Deliver evidence-based nursing care across admission to discharge.
• Collaborate with MDT to monitor and improve patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Take lead on clinical needs of a defined patient group and prioritise workload.
• Administer medicines following Trust policies.
• Contribute to audit, research data collection and quality improvement.
• Provide teaching and mentorship to students and junior staff.
• Promote a safe environment and report incidents using Trust procedures.
