Job summary

The Royal Oldham Hospital is seeking enthusiastic Pharmacy Technicians to support medicines management on wards and in departments. Band 4 roles may progress to Band 5 with training and experience, in a 7-day rotating pattern including extended hours, nights, weekends and bank holidays.

You will gain experience across ward-based medicines management, dispensary services, clinical trials, and mentoring staff.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pharmacy Technician or equivalent.
• Willingness to participate in a 7-day rotating pattern.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Commitment to a patient-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ward-based medicines management and dispensary services.
• Contribute to clinical trials and mentor other staff.
• Record patient medication history and assist with discharges.
• Work across wards and departments with accuracy and speed.
