Job summary

The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Pharmacy Technician at The Royal Oldham Hospital. This full-time Band 4/5 post covers 37.5 hours per week with weekend and late-night shifts on a rotational pattern to support medicines management on wards and in the dispensary.

You will work within a supportive team, gain clinical experience, and have opportunities for progression to Band 5. Strong organisational skills and commitment to patient care are essential.

Qualifications

• Registered with the GPhC as a Pharmacy Technician.
• BTEC Professional Development certificate in Dispensing Technician Checking.
• Proven qualified hospital or community pharmacy experience.
• Basic working knowledge of Pharmacy practice.

Responsibilities

• Gains experience in ward-based medicines management and dispensary services.
• Involves clinical trials mentoring and staff training.
• Possible work in a clinical technical service team with medication history recording and discharges processing.
