Job summary

Cygnet Health Care in Weston-super-Mare is seeking a Ward Manager (RMN/RNLD) to lead a busy inpatient ward at Kewstoke. This full-time role is 37.5 hours per week with a salary of £61,590 per annum.

You will drive clinical governance, supervise staff, ensure patient rights and confidentiality, and contribute to service development with audits. RMN or RNLD qualification and strong leadership in mental health are required.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with RMN or RNLD qualification.
• Experience in in-patient mental health settings.
• Strong leadership and change management skills.
• Ability to conduct audits and action plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide recommendations to Hospital Manager for ward development.
• Participate in ward visits by professionals.
• Monitor nursing practice and staff registration.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and adherence to policies.
• Evaluate service delivery with patient/family focus.
• Advise non-clinical staff on patient care.

We are looking for a Ward Manager (RMN/RNLD) to join our team at Cygnet Kewstoke.

Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke provides emergency admissions services for men and women, and a pathway for women to rehabilitation including a specialist servicefor personality disorder.

Your day-to-day…

You’ll be working full time 37.5 hours per week.

Pay Rate - £ 61,590.00 per annum

• Provide suggestions, proposals & recommendations to the Hospital Manager aimed at the continued development of the ward
• Contribute & participate in planned visits to the ward by professional visitors
• Initiate & maintain a monitoring system in relation to professional nursing practice at unit level, including pin numbers & the current registration of all qualified staff
• Ensure that the evaluation of service delivery is user (i.e. patient, carer & family) based
• Advise non-clinical staff within the hospital on management of patients with mental illness
• Ensure patients’ rights to confidentiality are respected & that Cygnet Health Care & professional policies are adhered to.
