Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Ward Manager for a busy medical ward. You will lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, compassionate care around the clock, ensuring excellence in patient journeys and adherence to clinical governance and NHS standards.

The role requires current NMC registration, substantial Band 6 experience, and a demonstrated ability to lead and develop staff within a ward environment.

Qualifications

• Current UK NMC registration is essential.
• Significant band 6 experience required.
• Leadership and management qualifications desirable.

Responsabilités

• Lead the multi-disciplinary team to deliver high quality, compassionate and safe care 24/7.
• Oversee ward operations, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of patient care.
• Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing and multi-disciplinary staff.
• Support staff development and ensure skill/competence alignment with service needs.
• Lead governance, quality improvement and compliance with local and national standards.
