Job summary

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a permanent Band 7 Ward Manager to lead Jubilee Ward at Stroud Hospital. You will be accountable for leadership, quality improvement, and 24/7 care delivery to ensure high standards of patient care and rehabilitation.

You will role-model visibility and fairness, support supervision and training for junior staff, manage rosters, and drive service development, risk assessment, and clinical governance across the ward.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Allied Health Professional (AHP) with current registration.
• Demonstrated significant post-registration experience in clinical settings.
• Proven leadership and people-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Jubilee Ward with a focus on patient care quality and efficiency.
• Oversee staffing, supervision, and appraisals of junior staff.
• Promote discharge planning and patient independence.
• Develop and evaluate care programmes with clinical benchmarking.
