Job summary

Tameside Hospital in Ashton-under-Lyne is seeking a Ward Manager to lead the ward operations, ensuring 24-hour delivery of high-quality patient care and efficient use of resources.

You will work closely with Ward Managers/Team Leaders to support roles and meet the needs of the Urgent and Emergency Care Division, and collaborate with clinic teams to maintain an urgent care knowledge base and ensure safe discharges.

Responsibilities

Carry continuous responsibility and accountability for the management of the ward/department, using resources effectively and ensuring highest standards of patient care on a 24-hour basis.
Work closely with Ward Managers/Team Leaders to support roles and promote the corporate needs of the Urgent and Emergency Care Division.
Collaborate with clinic team leaders and maintain knowledge base in urgent care and safe, effective discharges for the area.

Job description
