Job summary

Stockport NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Acute Frailty Unit. You will work within a friendly, multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality care, assess and plan patient needs, and respond to changes in patient condition.

You will maintain nursing standards, ensure safe medication administration, and keep accurate records in line with policies. Committed to safeguarding and continuous improvement, you will engage in flexible working to meet service needs.

Qualifications

  • Maintain NMC registration and up-to-date nursing practices.
  • Assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate plans without supervision.
  • Deliver high-quality compassionate patient care and work within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Accurately document patient care and administer medications safely per policies.

Job description

Working as a registered Nurse within our team you will have the opportunity to work with a range of supportive colleagues and the whole multidisciplinary team. Our innovative approaches to care based on our quality improvement programme means that medicine remains varied, no two days are the same which enable you to develop your leadership skills and respond to change. T he Acute Frailty Unit accommodates 16 short stay beds both male and female patients. You will be part of a friendly, supportive , and professional integrated team comprising of consultants, Nurses, Occupational therapists, Physiotherapist, co-ordinators, advanced clinical practitioners, social services and community services to offer the best care for our patients in this acute setting.,

  • To provide high quality effective individualised care to all patients that is compassionate and caring
  • To assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate without supervision
  • To keep up to date with skills and knowledge
  • To comply with NMC professional registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices
  • Be proficient in the delivery of care to patients
  • Ensure safe administration of drugs in accordance to NMC and local policies
  • Ensure accurate records are kept in accordance to Stockport NHS Foundation Trust Policy and NMC guidelines
  • Carry out nursing procedures and techniques in accordance with agreed policies and standards
  • Undertake regular mandatory training, We recognise that flexible working is important.
