Mid And South Essex Nhs Foundation Trust in Basildon seeks a Ward Manager for the Kingswood ward on a fixed-term 12-month contract. You will lead and develop a team of nursing staff, promoting advanced nursing and teaching skills while delivering high standards of patient care across the ward.
The post carries 24-hour responsibility, requiring visionary leadership, professional management, and close liaison with other departments within the Trust.
Here is an exciting opportunity for you to join us on a Fixed term contract as a Ward manager in our Kingswood ward.
You will be required to lead and develop a team of staff, promoting the development of advanced nursing and teaching skills within the ward, ensuring the team is dedicated to delivering excellent standards of care, throughout the patient's journey. You needs to be visionary and dynamic in driving the team forward in a rapid changing environment. The post holder will also be required to liaise closely with other departments within the Trust.
To carry 24 hour overall responsibility for the clinical area and participate in the management of the hospital in accordance with the Trust's Duty Coordinator policy.
Act as an effective leader both professionally and managerially for all members of nursing staff.
Be responsible for and manage the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of care, in conjunction with the unit's aims, objectives and philosophy.
Maintaining and developing high standards of care, whilst planning and implementing ward based and directorate teaching programs, assessing the training needs of nursing staff in conjunction with the Practice Education Facilitator Team.
