Job summary

Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 Staff Nurse for Swift Ward, an Adult Acute Mental Health Inpatient Service in Radlett, Hertfordshire.

You will be a registered Mental Health Nurse with NHS experience, delivering compassionate, patient-centred care within a multidisciplinary team. The role offers a supportive induction, supervision, and opportunities for leadership and professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Manage clinical aspects of Band 5 Staff Nurse role and participate in care planning with MDT.

  • Identify care needs and plan, implement and evaluate care and risk assessments.

Job responsibilities


  • In addition to managing the clinical aspects of being a Band 5 Staff Nurse, you will take an active part in the assessment, treatment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for service users in collaboration with inpatient multi-disciplinary services.

  • You will be liaising with colleagues and carers, ensuring they are fully aware of all aspects of a service users care and treatment.

  • You will have effective communication skills and be able to contribute towards patient recovery and wellbeing.

  • You will be able to identify individuals' care needs.

  • You will be planning, implementing and evaluating care plans and risk assessments in collaboration with other teams and professionals.

  • You will be maintaining lines of communication with all departments and staff involved in a service users care. Reporting on progress and effectiveness to the appropriate MDT.
