Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Ward Leader for Trinity Ward. The role focuses on leading a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality, woman-centred care across antenatal, postnatal and transitional services.

You will drive clinical excellence, support staff development and promote a culture of continuous quality improvement, ensuring compassionate care and excellent patient experiences for families and staff alike.

Qualifications

  • Registered Midwife with current practicing qualification.
  • Evidence of study at degree level.
  • Teaching/mentorship qualification desirable.
  • NIPE qualification desirable.
  • Masters level study desirable.
  • Formal management qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide visible, supportive leadership for Trinity Ward.
  • Lead assessment, planning and delivery of midwifery clinical care.
  • Ensure fundamental care standards and patient safety are achieved.
  • Implement quality measures and deliver improvement plans.
  • Line-manage staff and support staff development and teamwork.

Are you an experienced, compassionate and motivated midwife ready to take the nest step in your leadership journey? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the leadership team as the Ward Leader for Trinity Ward. Trinity Ward has 21 beds and provides antenatal, postnatal and transitional care. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Ward Leader who is passionate about providing safe, high-quality, person-centred care and who can inspire and support a multidisciplinary team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of our service, supporting staff development and ensuring that families receive an excellent experience on Trinity Ward. We are looking for someone who Is a confident and experienced midwife with a strong clinical knowledge Has a passion for high-quality compassionate maternity care Can provide visible, supportive and effective leadership Is committed to supporting, empowering and developing staff Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills Can work collaboratively across the multi-disciplinary team Is committed to patient safety, quality improvement and positive outcomes Can lead change and contribute to the continued development of our maternity services If you are an ambitious midwife who is ready to lead, inspire and make a difference, we would welcome your application., The Ward Leader for Trinity Ward should be an expert in the assessment, planning and delivery of midwifery clinical care, providing motivational leadership and efficient organisation of the area. They will ensure that the fundamental care standards are achieved, providing a visible presence and be accessible to women, families and staff. The Ward Lead will ensure that quality measures are implemented, and resultant improvement plans delivered.
