Ward Clerk - Ward A6

The Ward Clerk is a vital member of Ward A6, providing essential clerical and administrative support. We are seeking a highly organised, reliable individual with excellent time‑management skills and strong communication abilities.

The role requires a commitment to delivering a high standard of service to both patients and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain clear communication with patients’ families.
  • Coordinate patient admissions to the ward.
  • Update the HIVE system.
  • Handle phone calls professionally and efficiently.
  • Operate within established policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines.
  • Contribute to improving best practices and ensuring high‑quality standards.

Working hours: 30 hours per week (Over 5 days)

We are looking for a candidate who has excellent telephone and communication skills and is eager to join our Administration team at Wythenshawe.

The position is a busy customer/ administration service‑based role where no two days can be the same. You will need to work flexibly and apply a methodical approach to a varying workload.

Successful candidates must have excellent IT skills and experience working in a customer service or healthcare environment as you will be expected to use IT and communication equipment. High personal commitment to delivering a patient‑focused service.
