Job summary

KIMS Hospital in Maidstone is seeking a friendly Ward Clerk to support the Preoperative Assessment and Outpatients Team. You will help keep clinics running smoothly, book in patients, and ensure accurate records.

The role requires excellent organisational and IT skills, experience in healthcare administration, and a patient-focused approach. You will work Monday to Saturday 8am-8:30pm with benefits such as free parking and pension.

Qualifications

• Experience as an administrator in healthcare or high-pressure environments.
• Excellent IT skills and ability to use patient administration systems.
• Strong literacy and numeracy demonstrated in prior roles.
• Patient-focused approach with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with booking in patients for clinics.
• Maintain patient documentation in one set of notes.
• Welcome patients and visitors, upholding privacy and dignity.
• Input patient information into the patient administration system.
• Liaise with NHS hospitals, GP surgeries and others as needed.
• Assist patients with LifeBox preoperative platform.
