We are looking for hardworking Ward Based Technician(s) who are ready to start a career or looking for a change and excited to be a part of our team. Who can deliver high quality pharmacy services to our patients and wards. We welcome applications from current students who are due to complete and register, and/or Community or PCN Technicians, and other sectors of pharmacy. The post holder must be a qualified NVQ 3 Pharmacy Technician, registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. You will be required to work under the direction of a Senior Pharmacy Technician within Clinical Ward Services. You will support them to manage a group of wards by prioritising your own workload. This will involve drug history taking and medicines reconciliation, undertaking audits, and liaising with other staff.
You will be required to contribute to the ACT rota, or will be enrolled onto the course after 6 months, if not already attained. Helping the dispensaries at the end of the day.
The ability to deliver high quality care and contribute to the overall success of the team is essential. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills; you must be flexible, reliable and conscientious and be able to work in a busy, but driven environment, which may be on any site in the Trust. Working weekends and Bank holidays are a core part of the post and on a rota basis, which incorporates 7 day working.
