Job summary

The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant (Band 3) to support ward-based medicines management and provide pharmacy services to patients on a 37.5 hour week, including weekends on a rota.

Applicants should have hospital or community pharmacy experience and be prepared to work towards NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services; the post is permanent with weekend and bank holiday shifts.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy experience
• Experience of computer systems including Excel and Word
• Hospital experience

Responsibilities

• To provide pharmacy assistant support to the clinical pharmacy team and ward based medicines management at ward level
• Working closely alongside the Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician to help reduce medication waste, support appropriate storage medicines and process medication orders through our electronic prescribing system
• To provide medicine dispensing services where necessary
• You must be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm for trying new roles and delivering an excellent patient experience.
