Job summary

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist - Clinical Practice Educator for Good Hope Hospital. The role splits 60/40: clinical leadership on wards and planning undergraduate placements on site.

You'll lead day-to-day clinical pharmacy services, line-manage staff, and act as the site lead for clinical practice education, while shaping placements for Aston University pharmacy students and mentoring early careers pharmacists.

Qualifications

Requires a 4-year Masters in pharmacy (or equivalent).
Post-graduate clinical pharmacy qualification or equivalent experience.
Working towards Level I Faculty Membership with the RPS.
Membership of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) or UK registration.

Responsibilities

Lead clinical pharmacy services on ward rounds, including screening prescriptions and interpreting drug levels.
Line-manage pharmacists, technicians, assistants and trainees; drive service developments.
Lead practice-based placements at UHB for Aston University pharmacy students and contribute to placement assessments.
Supervise final-year projects and mentor early careers pharmacists and rotational staff.
